in the second icif of 2006, suzhou embroidery research institute, the affiliated firm of china tong yuan co., ltd. made its debut and has been an instant hit; in 2009, the just completed chinese silk cultural and creative industry park became the branch field of the fifth session of icif, which filled the void of silk culture in icif; in 2014, “international exhibition of creative design of silk in the silk park of china appeared at the 10th icif. international designers were invited to plan the exhibition featuring “face of silk”, which has been highly appreciated by li changchun, the former member of standing committee of political bureau of the central committee of the cpc. “china silk, international design” drew much attention at the icif. 

at this international cultural industries fair, the works of the 8 international design masters from the "international exhibition of creative design of silk" such as cheong-sam, scarves, neckties, ipad bags and bedding attracted a lot of procurers overseas. amazed by the modernized and lifestyle silk, even the designers became big fans. french designer anette lanz and canadian designer robert l.peters each bought 10 scarves at one go on site, and prepared to bring them home to show the chinese silk. in addition, the exhibition also attracted purchasing agents from investment community of the cultural industry, brand agents, gift wholesale companies and other companies at home and abroad, to the main venue to negotiate the purchase.

it is reported that silk park of china has extended its presence from shenzhen to the rest part of the country with chengdu silk park of china breaking ground in last august, hainan subsidiary to begin construction by the end of the year, as well as its planning in suzhou, haining, etc. for the next step, silk park of china will adopt internationalized mode of operation, and stick to the strategy of "go out" to promote the internalization of chinese silk.
